• Net-Zero Emissions by 2045
Kookmin University is planning for climate action with the Kookmin Vision 2030+α: centering people, viewing our campus as a living learning lab that benefits students and researchers, and working cooperatively with the our neighbors, and local communities to honor the contributions of our alumni and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
How We're Getting There
Our 2045 goals are achievable, and we will continue to strive to achieve them. All members of the university society, including the government's eco-friendly policies, university members, local communities, and research cooperation companies, are looking at the goal of net zero emissions. First, introducing 100% renewable power will be the first step. In addition, all means of transportation in the university will use carbon-free electricity, hydrogen, etc. It will be converted to renewable energy of infrastructure for cooling and heating. In order to achieve net zero, it will depend not only on the efforts of Kookmin University but also on our valuable partners such as power suppliers and government agencies. |
